How to Prepare for Unsafe Situations at Home
Posted on January 29th, 2012 | by admin |I have spent a lot of time talking about home security with many homeowners. I am trying to get some insight on different ways our homes can be threatened. I asked each person I spoke with if they had ever witnessed any suspicious activity at their house. It could have been robbery, a broken window, a suspicious individual – whatever. Almost everybody had a story to tell. Most of their stories eventually led them to get a home security system. I have learned that Cuyahoga Falls Home Security is a great option.
One individual informed me that he was home for the afternoon one day, but left to go pick his son up from soccer practice. After they arrived back at home roughly 10 minutes later, one of the windows on their house was broken and some things were missing from inside. He seemed to think he was being watched, and the thief knew when he left. A different mother of three told me that she once opened the door for someone who claimed to be a salesman. After he pitched his sale, he then asked if he could talk it over with her inside. She said no thank you, and the man again replied by asking if he could still come inside to use her phone. Because the guy was being so persistent, she again declined and closed the door in his face.
We have all had encounters with suspicious people and situations. Some experiences are worse than others, like that of the first man. The information I am digging for will help me figure out what moves people to buy a home alarm system. The woman said she quickly opted to get one the very next day.
I have heard a ton of similar stories from other people. You never truly know what might happen on a specific day. I am positive these people did not wake up thinking something unusual would happen that day. It really highlights the value in always being prepared.
